Stew Church in Maysville - Maysville Crosspoint Community Church of the Nazarene began meeting on May 30, though the official launch date of the church won't be until September. The church will meet every Sunday at the Mason County Intermediate School @ 10:30am. Rev. Kevin Jack is the pastor, and he will also be ordained at our district assembly on June 22. Baptize....Immersing in a Discipleship Way of Life

You will notice that the new design of Sunday School emphasis website page is quite dififerent from the past format. This new manner of delivering emphasis ideas has been credited to give the small and large churches flexibility in using the Strategic Discipleship. Methods and Ideas most applicable to their local church. You will find dates and a general theme for each semi-annual emphasis, but the weekly focus will be of you choosing, The Strategic Discipleship Methods and Ideas are divided into six categories, each of which could be a weekly focus for the current emphasis: Bible Reading, Prayer, Work place & School Outreach, Encouragement, Service, and fellowship. • Family of Raymond Brammer (Father of Judy Robirds, pastor's wife
  at South Shore) - Mr. Brammer passed away in July.
• Family of Bonnie Chaffin (Sister of Pastor David Robirds, South
  Shore) - Bonnie passed away, and her funeral was held on Aug. 9.
• Pat Curry (Pastor's wife at Harlan) - Undergoing medical treatments.
• Rev. Hobart Gabbard (Retired pastor) - Rev. Gabbard is in failing
  health.
• Rev. Pete Hagens (Retired missionary & pastor) - In nursing home.
• Pastor Paul Hedge (Paris) - Pastor Hedge is out of the Critical Care
  Unit (CCU) and in a regular room, but still needs much prayer.
• Janet Hobbs (Pastor's wife at Richmond First) - Janet is hospitalized
  at St. Joseph's in Lexington.
• Chaplain Tom Miller (Former district licensed minister) - Rev. Miller
  has been deployed to Iraq. Rev. Miller is also the son-in-law of
  Pastor LeRoy & Jeri VandenOever (Richmond Rosemont).
• Melissa Prater-Rex (Former D.S.'s daughter) - Most recent tests
  revealed she is cancer free.
• Pastor Lonnie Storms (Covington Central) - Pastor Storms is home
  from a recent hospitalization.

THANK You FOR GIVING

Over $10,000 was donated to advance the work of God's Kingdom during the recent deputation tour with Jay & Teanna Sunberg, Lexi, Sophia, Lydia and Jenna from Bulgaria.  This included $800 that the children of the Worthington Church raised during Vacation Bible School this year for the Church of the Nazarene work in Bulgaria.  Last year, the Worthington VBS was 75th in the nation in VBS offering giving, this year they gave even more!  Thank you everyone on EKD for giving!
