IMPACT Team Requirements 2009 – 2010

Personal Testimony: Making an “impact” on others will be impossible if God has not already made an impact in your life. Every IMPACT Team member needs to be able to share his or her personal testimony with others. On the application, briefly describe your faith story about when you came to Jesus. We’re looking for teens that love Jesus and are excited about His grace in their own lives and the opportunity to serve Him RIGHT NOW!

Pastoral Recommendation: We will not be able to interview each of you, so we will trust the recommendation of your local pastor. If he/she believes that you will make a great addition to the IMPACT Team, then so do we. PLEASE do not send the application to us without the Pastor’s Recommendation completed. Call us, Reena’ and Ted, if you do not have a pastor at your church at this time. We will try to find a suitable person who knows you well enough to make the appropriate recommendation.

Commitment: We understand that sometimes “things happen” in our schedules, but agreeing to be part of the IMPACT Team is a time and energy commitment. We will get the dates for practice and services to you as soon as possible and the clear expectation is that this schedule becomes a high priority for you. If after reviewing the schedule you are uncertain that you can completely commit to this requirement, you and the IMPACT team would be better served if you do not try to become part of the Team at this time. We depend on our practice and prayer times to make the service experiences very impact-FULL. We need you to believe in the power of these times together along with us and to commit to being at each one as much as humanly possible! But, as stated before, we do know that a person may be FULLY committed and have problems and other things come up. Ask us and talk to us about any concerns or questions you may have. Other scheduled activities such as football and band competitions will BE OVER before we perform – ASK US – and TOGETHER we can work things out!

Registration: In order to cover costs of music, travel, attire and IMPACT ministries, there is a $50.00 registration fee. There will be love offerings at churches during our services, but we plan further service opportunities that these funds will help make possible. If you cannot afford the $50.00, there is a box on the Pastoral Recommendation Form where you can request a scholarship from your local church. If the church cannot afford to support you, please call Reena’ and Ted. We will work something out because we really want you on the IMPACT Team.
